As a teenager, I was fascinated with the real life Alice and the relationship that gave rise to Wonderland. A few years ago I learned that at the age of 20, Alice spent time with another eccentric photographer—Julia. My current project explores how Alice harnessed her time with Julia to make sense of her experiences as child muse.
